Great service and supernice staff! I didn't stay here because I was doing volunteer work at another place, but the staff still helped me with arranging transportation to my next destination which was so nice and went perfectly!

Yo no me alojé allí, pero si tomé clses de surf. El sitio es impresionante, las vistas al mar, las cabañas…. El sitio increíble.
Zigor y Elli son geniales. Asique tanto si queréis quedaros en estancia como si queréis aprender y tomar unas clases de surf no podéis tener mejores anfitriones.

I really recommend this place if you want to go to Santa Catalina. This is a charming hostel managed by a nice family. Eli, Sigor and their two children are lovely and made us feel like home. We made a surf camp and enjoyed it a lot. Sigor is a passionate teacher and provide good advice. We made a lot of progress thanks to him. The breakfast prepared by Eli were fresh, big and delicious. You can also rent surf board if you don't want to take lessons and they have different board for different level and this is good material.

Tienes diferentes tipos de cabañas según tus necesidades!

Puedes hacer clases de surf y puedo decir que soy muy escéptica con las clases de surf por malas experiencias, pero aquí ha sido la MEJOR clase de surf que he tenido. Zigor explica muy bien, es muy atento durante la clase y te va corrigiendo en todo momento.
También tienes alquiles de tablas de surf tanto softboard como de fibra
Y te ayudan a gestionar la reserva a Coiba, paseos a caballo y cualquier recomendación que necesites

Tanto Elli como Zigor harán que tu estancia allí sea de las mejores

Un lugar increíble con unos anfitriones maravillosos, la ubicación es increíble y en el rancho hay la posibilidad de recibir clases de surf y alquilar tablas. Para ir a bucear a Cohiba también lo gestionaron ellos. Facilitaron e hicieron que la estancia fuera todavía más increíble. Muy recomendable.

We stayed at Rancho Estero for four nights and were so sorry we had to leave this beautiful place. It is amazingly located with ocean view and one feels really close to nature while staying there. Ellie and Zigor and their kids were very nice and welcoming, so we felt at home from the beginning on.
I was amazed how fast I learned during my first surfing lessons - Zigor is a great and motivating teacher and the small group size during lessons helped a lot too.
The breakfast was very delicious - with pancakes, fruit, homemade bread.
We also did a great snorkeling trip to Isla Coiba recommended by Ellie and Zigor and we had the chance to see turtles and sharks.

I stayed here in August for a week with a friend and we had an AMAZING time. It was just what we wanted- on the beach, simple, great people, chill, etc. We took surf lessons everyday and Zigor was an amazing teacher. I was shocked I was able to catch a wave on my first day. Elli made delicious muesli for us every morning and we loved their kids. We were able to walk into town or prepare food in the outdoor kitchen. The accommodations were simple so don't expect classic "luxury" but if you're the kind of person who loves to sleep under a mosquito net to the sound of waves crashing, read your book in a hammock watching the sunset, take outdoor showers, and surf on a secluded beach (literally so quiet!) then THIS is the place for you.

Perfect place stay in Santa Catalina! Highly recommend Rancho Estero as the hosts Elli and Zigor are great and take good care and make amazing Smoothies. You can do excellent surf lessons with Zigor at the beach in front of the Rancho. The Cabins are clean and nice und you can see the sea from the windows.

Zigor taught my boys (10 and 14) and me to surf - it was great! The combination of clear instructions, positivity, and a passion for surfing made it very effective. It enabled us to catch the waves from the very beginning and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and we LOVED it! The ranch looks lovely, the cabins are comfortable and the view is amazing. Falling asleep and waking up with the sound of the ocean made us feel very relaxed and peaceful. We had a great first surf lesson with Zigor and he also gave us a few good recommendations on where to have a drink. The family living on the ranch is caring and loving, overal the vibe was great! We were very sad to leave after three nights. Definitely recommended! You won’t regret it:)

Please note I’m reviewing only surf rentals service. We really liked the service, nice couple, gave us advices on the first day where to surf. Their surfboards are well maintained and in a very good conditions! Highly recommend!

Nice, green place run by friendly people, neat cabañas, a terrace overlooking the beach, good kitchen and surfboards for rent.

Rancho tiene una ubicacion perfecta, situada en la misma playa. Zigor y Eli, son unos anfitriones maravillosos, siempre dispuestos a ayudar y a hacer que tu estancia sea perfecta. Hay muchas cosas que hacer por la zona. Zigor es un buen instructor de surf y además en el Rancho se pueden alquilar tablas. El mejor sitio para hospedarse si se va a Santa Catalina!

They charge 75$ for 2 persons without breakfast on a weekend. The huts are dark and in my opinion not worth the price.

Lugar natural, especial para relajarse de la ciudad, muy bueno para surf, linda playa, de las mejores de Panamá.

Nice family-run hostel with an awesome view of the entire Estero Beach. You can rent a board and take a few surf lessons or just chill in a hammock on the deck.

Wow what a beautiful place, right from the start we were greeted by warm, friendly and helpful staff Eli & her partner. The location was perfect and had the most wonderful view of the waves we highly recommended this spot and have nothing negative/constructive to say. Thank you so much, we might come again.

Great budget friendly surfer's hangout. The playa down below can get busy with lots of locals and their cars at night but otherwise it's a beautiful spot.
